JAMIE REID L-13 Archive RARE Signed Trial Queen PROOF COPIES

Six unique large prints featuring the iconoclastic God Save The Queen design as scanned from the original collage.

When we first started working with Jamie in 2004 he still had the original GSTQ collage from 1977 in his possession, so we scanned it to use for making print editions, preferring its aged and battered appearance to the clean graphic version normally seen.

These prints were made circa 2011 as printer’s proofs for an edition commissioned by another gallery. The black, red and blue ones were then overprinted with other Jamie Reid motifs, the inverted (white) version was the trial base for a ‘diamond dust’ screen print edition, and the and two multi-coloured ones never went into production.

All the prints are 112 x 82 cm pigment prints on heavy Hahnemühle stock, signed in pencil by Jamie Reid and stamped on the back with the L-13 Archive Stamp.

There is only one of each and they come with an L-13 Certificate Of Authenticity.
