Jimmy Cauty 20th Anniversary CORRECTED Definitive Stamp of Mass Destruction – Japanese Import

On 25/12/2004, in the time of Terror and War, Jimmy Cauty’s Post-Terrorist Xmas Gift Shop was the only Post-Terrorist Xmas Gift Shop to be open on Christmas Day anywhere in the world.

Of the many wondrous post-terrorist gifts on offer was a set of prints featuring the Queen in a gas mask with a Union Jack backdrop. These were supposed to be designed as postage stamps but due to the Royal Mail’s misunderstanding of copyright law, satirical appropriation and a complete incomprehension of semantics in visual art, we reluctantly agreed to change the design so the 61 x 66 cm prints couldn’t possibly be mistaken for real postage stamps. So, no perforations and no value in the top left corner, and not even the correct Machin Bust Queen.

Since then such concerns have been proven to be utter nonsense and 20 years on, still in the time of Terror and War with some added Genocide, we present this CORRECTED edition of the Definitive Stamp of Mass Destruction imported from Japan where a small variant edition was recently exhibited in Tokyo.
