The Promise
3 colour screen print on Saunders Waterford 300gsm paper

On the collaboration Stuart says:
“It’s been good working with Jimmy and thinking a bit more about the societal impact of some of these images. I’m fascinated by how structures collide with our beliefs and the impact architecture has on communities. It’s a kind of freaky social control experiment.”
Jimmy says:
“The soundtrack to the Wall of Death video has some Southern preacher ranting that I recorded from the radio in NY in the ’70s so that fits in with the image…& smiley inflatable makes perfect sense.”
Please note: these prints are printed with eco-friendly inks by unskilled workers at the L-13 Light Industrial Workshop. They are replete with ink marks, fingerprints, smudges, misprinting, bumps and abrasions. We make no apology for this, they are beautiful as they come.
