NOTE:
Archive Annotations are a series of sporadic and incomplete anecdotes regarding past L-13 releases, oddities and rejects which are dug up from the vaults to be paraded about and subsequently DISPOSED OF via the archive section of the site shop.
Usually these are unique items, limited numbers from a long sold-out edition or unreleased experiments.
Once they are sold and their fate is sealed in a private collection these annotations will remain as reference to their existence.
This CNPD First Day Cover would have been one of the first we released and features Jimmy’s infamous 5-11 images. We always considered the FDCs to be the best thing that the CNPD issued with each one being addressed to its recipient & running the gauntlet of the postal service. Not many people caught on though, so I doubt we sold more that 30 of these. This is one of the archive copies we sent to ourselves. When we were on Woburn Walk as the aquarium we’d also change the gallery name for different shows. This one is addressed to the London Disorder Gallery.
