Revised, updated and expanded edition of a book we first published in 2009 under the guise of an old Penguin paperback to look like the D H Lawrence selected poetry that Billy thematically based this book on. After a kerfuffle with Penguin’s lawyers we had a public book burning where all copies were burned and we handed the publishing responsibilities to Tangerine Press who had made a ‘legal’ edition concurrently with our L-13 Penguin.
Two editions of very handsome hand bound Ltd Editions followed along with equally pretty trade paperbacks, with all editions selling out.
With the world left bereft of a hefty Billy Childish tome of poetry that spans his entire career, Mr Tangerine once again leapt to the rescue with a new, improved, bigger & better edition of the book that’s even more handsome and pretty than the ones that preceded it; complete with a new subtitle and a wet plate photograph of Billy by Rikard Osterlund on the cover to differentiate it from it’s slightly inferior predecessors.
We present here a special Signed L-13 Edition: Limited to 113 copies signed (with the poet’s gallows symbol), stamped & numbered, with an exclusive bookmark bearing Rikard Osterlund’s portrait of the poet and the title poem on the other side.
